All,

The idea of recruiting committee(s), one for BF42 and one for BF2 was suggested in another thread.

Two questions:

1) What do you think of this as an idea for the clan?

2) Would you be willing to be a member of one (or both)?

Please post...

1. I think its a great idea. The new recruit has to make it through the committee before being admitted. The key is, you have to have the right people on the committee.

2. I haven't had much time lately. I might be able to help out on one committee.

1. I think that is a good idea, but we need a diverse team.

2. I play BF2 nearly daily; I would be interested in a BF2 committee.

1. Since I mentioned the committee idea, I'm for it :)

2. I'm playing more and more BF2, so I would like to do both. At a min BF42.

in the tfc clan i used to run (many moons ago) to join the clan you had to have a member first "sponsor" you then the clan leader, deputy and offensive and defensive co-ordinators would decide after 5 practices if the player was good enough. 5 practices was usually just over a week (we had four praccys and 2 matches each week - sat was the day off :) )

a committee is always a good thing and it also ensures you're recruiting people that will fit in to the clan as a clan is more than people playing together its a communitee.

The 5 practices will also help you see how the person plays - are they stat motivated or a team player?

anyway... thats my view on things

yeah we used to do that in SE and OSM. you say 'i recruited this guy' and he verifies. its your job to give him all the ip's, passwords, etc. and get him signed up in forums. its then your job to make him known, etc. (basicaly aid him and speed up the process of getting into the clan).

its helpful, cuz i know in -=101st=- (not many of them around anymore) which merged with USF, they got rid of sponsors RIGHT before i tried out, and i had a two month application. (only to leave after a month wit a bunch to form SE). then we reinstated sponsors and i recruited malakai (then mobius) in like a week

Maybe I'll take you up on that offer, Ben. 8)

Shouldn't a recruiting thread be in our members section or did I miss something?

And yes a committee is good.
